Class Name: Geometry Perimeter Data
Definition
The geometry-specific sub-class of Base
Perimeter Data, which describes the outline of a region that is used for
spatial indexing of Geometry Hierarchies.
Used to distinguish sibling Geometry
Hierarchy entries within a
Perimeter Related Geometry
aggregation.

Example
- The spatial extent of a thematic coverage might be divided up into a
collection of irregularly shaped tiles representing different countries,
such that the Geometries located within each
tile are organized into a separate Geometry
Hierarchy.
- See also Perimeter Related
Geometry.
FAQs
- How does the ordered list of Locations define
the perimeter?
- Just "connect the dots" from the first
Location to the last Location, with an implicit
line connecting the last Location back to the first
Location.
- What is the purpose of this class?
- This class allows Geometry Hierarchies
to be organized into spatial indexing regions of any shape.
Constraints
