Superclass - Base Time Data

Definition

A season for which a portion of the SEDRIS transmittal is valid. The season choices are the common ones - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Because those terms are relative to the hemisphere you are in, the start and stop months must also be provided.

Example

1. Summer in the northern hemisphere, lasting from 21 June to 22 September (any year). This would be represented as a Season with season = SE_SUMMER, and a component Absolute Time Interval with:
   • Absolute Time Point, with year = -1 (any year), month = SE_JUNE, day = 21, hour = minutes = seconds = 0. (This is the start point of the interval).
   • delta_days = 93, delta_hours = delta_minutes = delta_seconds = 0.
