Class Name: Bordered Geometry Face

Superclass - SEDRIS Abstract Base

Definition

A topological relationship between a Geometry Edge and one or more Geometry Faces, indicating that the Geometry Edge borders the Geometry Face(s).

Example

  1. Consider a Geometry Face representing the surface of a lake. The External Geometry Face Ring of this Geometry Face consists of 10 Geometry Edges.

In order to provide higher-quality, higher-level geometry topology, the data provider has chosen to give each Geometry Edge a Bordered Geometry Face component, which relates the Geometry Edge back to the Geometry Face for which it forms part of the border. Consequently. given any of these Geometry Edge objects, a consumer can determine from its component Bordered Geometry Face object that it belongs to the Geometry Face representing the lake surface.
