Edge that is associated with a Linear
Feature is oriented in the same direction as the
Linear Feature, or in the
opposite direction.

Example
- A Linear Feature representing a stream is
associated with several Feature Edges that
define the path of the stream. The
Feature Edge Direction associated
with each Feature Edge is TRUE if the
Feature Edge is oriented so that the stream
flows in the direction from its
Feature Edge Starting Node
to its Feature Edge Ending Node, and
FALSE if the stream flows in the opposite direction.
FAQs
- What if the Linear Feature represents a
spatially located entity, such as a tree line, that has no well-defined
orientation?
- In such a case, the Feature Edge
Direction should be set to false.
