A coordinate within the Lambert Conformal Conic (LCC) 2D Spatial Reference Frame (SRF).
The Lambert Conformal Conic projection-based Spatial Reference Frame is a conical, conformal projection normally placed secant to two parallels of the Object Reference Model/Earth Reference Model (ORM/ERM). Setting the two parallels equal is equivalent to the tangent formulation.
The meridians of the Lambert Conformal Conic 2D SRF appear as straight lines radiating from a point beyond the mapped area. Parallels appear as arcs of concentric circles which are centered at the point from which the meridians radiate. The scale factor is constant along any given parallel, and is 1.0 at the parallels of secancy, decreasing between them and increasing away from them.
When used to define a 2D coordinate system, the resulting X and Y axes are are measured in meters (rather than arc degrees), and a local origin offset is provided. The X axis lies along a parametric standard parallel, increasing in the easterly direction; the Y axis lies along a parametric standard meridian, increasing in a northerly direction, and forms a 2D right-handed coordinate system. The origin is defined by the intersection of the parametric standard parallel and meridian.
